Berachain is a high-performance EVM-Identical Layer 1 (L1) blockchain utilizing Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) to solve stake centralization, build security via liquidity, and better align protocols, validators, and stakers.

Proof of Liquidity is an innovative and novel consensus mechanism that addresses key issues inherent in today’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems. PoL aligns network security and liquidity by having validators reward liquidity providers on Berachain with the non-purchasable staking token of the network- BGT.

### **The Yummy Finance evolution** <a href="#id-0fee" id="id-0fee"></a>

**A multi-asset pool — the solution for trading without price impact:** For every X amount of assets deposited in the pool, and equivalent dollar amount of index tokens, named $MGLP, are minted. A liquidity provider can withdraw at any time by burning $MGLP in exchange for any asset in the pool This is why Yummy Finance can be used to swap large volumes without price impact.

**Blockchain technology and oracle pricing:** To set the price of each asset, the platform aggregates Pyth price feeds. Pyth’s pricing mechanism benefits leverage traders in a huge way because it reduces the risk of liquidation from the temporary wicks.
